Apart from a handful of models (which are unique to Japan and therefore would not interfere with sales of US or Mexican models) Fender Japan are prevented from officially exporting to Europe or the US. What is made in Japan stays in Japan. This is one....a '62 Reissue Telecaster in vintage white. These are the specs:

Condition
This is a 2006-2007 Crated in Japan 'S' serial. It is in good condition. There are a handful of small dings, some of which you can barely see let alone photograph but I've snapped those that I can. Click on the thumbnails above for close-ups. All controls work smoothly and without crackle. Hardware is in excellent condition and there are years of life in the frets.

The vintage white with black binding finish is quite rare. Most examples of this model are sunburst or red.

Comments
Played acoustically the sound is well-mannered with plenty of sustain. Plug in and you've classic 60's Tele tones - slightly darker than  the maple-board '52 - but drive it and the US-made Texas Specials will rock wit the best.  A new set of 10s has been fitted and it plays nicely right up the neck. With this guitar you have the best of both world's; Japanese build quality and  US pups.. but with a reasonable price tag.

This is a superb looking and sounding guitar... very highly recommended indeed if you want a pro-spec Tele that will stand out from the crowd..
