Apart from a handful of models (which are
unique to Japan and therefore would not interfere with sales of US or
Mexican models) Fender Japan are prevented from officially exporting to
Europe or the US. What is made in Japan stays in Japan. This is what we
are missing out on.....a '58 Reissue Stratocaster. These are the specs:

| This is a 2002-2004 Crafted
in Japan 'Q' serial. Apart from the ding on the top
edge -click on the thumbnails above for close-ups - condition is
excellent. Hardware is in excellent condition,
there are years and years of life in the frets and
all controls work smoothly and without noise. There isn't much one
can say when a guitar is as good as this.
This one comes with the original
Japanese paperwork, hang tag and allen key... plus a gigbag.
By the way, Fender introduced the
three-tone sunburst midway through 1958. The last pics taken of
Buddy Holly prior to his death show him playing one.

Acoustically, this guitar has a lovely,
well-mannered, tone and resonance,
with bags of sustain. Plug in and all the same qualities are evident and then
some. Texas Specials are great pickups whether you want to play
clean or dirty.
A new set of 10s has been fitted and it plays cleanly and comfortably all the way up the neck.
A great sounding and looking '58
Strat with a minor knock that is reflected in the price. Highly
recommended whether or not you're a Buddy Holly fan!
