Apart from a handful of models (which are
unique to Japan and therefore would not interfere with sales of US or
Mexican models) Fender Japan are prevented from officially exporting to
Europe or the US. What is made in Japan stays in Japan. This is one... a

| This is an 2005-2006
'R'
serial Crafted
in Japan. It is in excellent condition. There is a few tiny dings
scattered about that I've tried to photograph, but none are noticeable under normal
circumstances. Check the photos above. There is very little fret wear and all
controls work smoothly and without crackle. The back cover is
missing - they are often removed to make changing strings a little
easier.
There isn't much one can say about
a guitar in this good a condition.

With an alder body and
steel tremolo block for extra 'zing', this guitar sound great with
good sustain when played acoustically. Plug it in and it'll
deliver exactly the same sustain and zing... with the US-made
Texas Special pickups you'll get about as close as you ever can to
Jimi's sound!
Note the neck is only 40mm wide, allowing for Hendrix-style
thumb-overs. A new set of hybrid 9s has been fitted and the action
is low, playing cleanly all the way up the board.
