Apart from a handful of models (which are
unique to Japan and therefore would not interfere with sales of US or
Mexican models) Fender Japan are prevented from officially exporting to
Europe or the US. What is made in Japan stays in Japan. This is what we
are missing out on.....a '62 Reissue Stratocaster in Lake Placid blue. These are the specs:

| This is a 1997-2000 Crafted
in Japan 'O' serial. Apart from the chip on the top edge
and a tiny mark on the bottom edge, condition is superb. It's
clear that it has been well looked after - except for that one
chip, which is reflected in the price I am asking for this guitar.
If you are a player who wants a high spec Strat at a low spec
price, and doesn't mind one small chip... this is a absolute
bargain. In fact, a touch up with car paint should do the
trick.
There is no discernable fret wear
and all controls work smoothly and without crackle.

| The previous owner
fitted a new of 9s and set the guitar up before shipping it to me.
I have to say that when I unpacked it, it played superbly straight
out of the box. You can't often say that. The phrase 'rings like a
bell' springs to mind.
Acoustically there is plenty of
resonance and sustain. Plug in and all the same qualities are evident.
Texas Specials really deliver whether you're playing clean or
dirty and at low or high volume.
This is quite an unusual colour
and, with the aged plastic parts, gives the guitar a really
classic, yet distinctive, look. Of course it sounds great
too!
