Apart from a handful of models (which are unique to Japan and therefore would not interfere with sales of US or Mexican models) Fender Japan are prevented from officially exporting to Europe or the US. What is made in Japan stays in Japan. This is what we are missing out on.....a '62 Reissue Stratocaster in Fiesta Red. These are the specs:

Condition
This is a 2006-2007 Crafted in Japan 'S' serial. It is in excellent condition although there are a few tiny marks on the top and bottom edges that I have tried to photograph. Click on the thumbnails above for close-ups. Yes, the marks are very small but I want you to know that they are there. The hardware is in good condition and all controls work smoothly and without crackle. There is almost no fret wear.

The guitar comes wit hits original Japanese paperwork and allen key for the string saddles.. 

Comments
Acoustically there is plenty of resonance and sustain. Plug in and all the same qualities are evident. Texas Specials really deliver whether you're playing clean or dirty and at low or high volume. 

A new set of 10s has been fitted; the action is comfortable and the guitar plays cleanly and easily right up the neck. 

This instrument is a real pleasure to both play and look at! Highly recommended. I rarely find Fiesta Red guitars so if you want one, don't wait.
