Apart from a handful of
models (which are unique to Japan and therefore would not interfere with
sales of US or Mexican models) the quality of Fender Japan guitars is so
high that they are prevented from officially exporting to Europe or the
US. Generally speaking, what is made in Japan stays in Japan. This is
what we are missing out on...... a '57 Precision Bass. Here are

| This is a 1997-2000 Crafted
in Japan 'O' serial. Condition is good, but there are a few
marks, which you can see in the pics above. None are particularly
noticeable, but I want buyers to be aware. There is virtually no
fret wear and all controls work smoothly and
without crackle.

| These Fender Japan
basses are beautifully made. The basswood (the Far East equivalent
of alder in terms of grain structure and tonal qualities) body has
quite a nice grain pattern and provides plenty of resonance. You
can really feel the notes vibrating through the body.
The very few tiny marks barely mar
what is a fine example of a Japanese-made P Bass. You want grunt
at an economic price? Look no further.
