Apart from a handful of
models (which are unique to Japan and therefore would not interfere with
sales of US or Mexican models) the quality of Fender Japan guitars is so
high that they are prevented from officially exporting to Europe or the
US. Generally speaking, what is made in Japan stays in Japan. This is
what we are missing out on...... a '62 Precision Bass. Here are
the specs:....

| Condition |
| This is a 2006-2007 Crafted
in Japan 'S' serial. It is in superb condition;; I could
only find one photographable mark... a tiny indentation on the
back. Click on the thumbnail above for a close-up. There is no
obvious fret wear and all controls work smoothly and
without crackle. The tuners work smoothly and positively. The
hardware is all in excellent condition.
When an instrument is as good as
this there isn't much one can say.

| This P bass is a good
spec- US pups in an alder body - it has bags of sustain and resonance
that you can feel through the body. More to the point, the sound
is massive, very punchy, just as you'd expect from a high spec P
bass.
I'm not a bassist, but I find this
instrument easy to play and comfortable right up the neck.
A classic looking and sounding
high-specification P Bass in superb condition. What more could you
ask for?.
