How to Buy and Distance Selling

1) What Do I Do First? |
Although I keep the website as up to date as
possible you should contact me by email
or phone (numbers above) to ensure that the guitar is available. If you
are unable to make arrangements to pay the full amount I will happily
reserve the guitar for you for a week or two on payment of a
non-refundable 10% deposit.

2) How Do I Pay? |
|
The basic choices are:
a) Cash on collection of the guitar if you live close enough..... I'm
situated within 5 minutes of junction 7 (Harlow) of the M11..
b) Cash across the counter of any HSBC bank
paying direct into my First Direct account (I will supply details as and when they
are needed). The money is credited to my account virtually immediately allowing
me to ship your guitar the same day.
c) By bank transfer from your bank to my
First Direct a/c. Many of you will be able to do this from the comfort of your own
home via your computer. The only downside is that, unless you also bank
with First Direct/HSBC, the transfer will take 3 to 4 working days to reach my account.
So there is a slight delay before I can ship.
d) Send a cheque via the mail. The slowest
of all methods because we have to wait for the cheque to clear.

| 2) How and When Do You
Ship? |
| I have online access to
my bank account and ship immediately full payment has been received.
I use Royal Mail
Special Delivery who guarantee delivery by noon the day after
posting (unless posted on a Friday in which case it might arrive
Saturday but is guaranteed for Monday).
Insurance for the full
value of the guitar is included. Guitars are always very well
packed. |
3) Distance
Selling Regulations
If
for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase you are
entitled, in law, to return the item for a refund. Under DSR
regulations you are entitled to seven working days commencing from
the day after receipt of the goods. Working days do not include
weekends or bank holidays. In the unlikely event that the instrument
arrives damaged, broken, or malfunctioning, then shipping costs will
also be refunded. If that is not the case, you will be responsible
for carriage. The instrument must be returned in exactly the same
condition as it was delivered to you and packed securely. I suggest
that you therefore retain all the original packing materials.
Refunds cannot be offered when the instrument is not returned in the
same condition as delivered to you. A copy of these and the
following terms/policies will be included with your instrument. If
you wish to return an item please
advise me by email or phone beforehand.

- Delivery Costs:
Far East Guitars routinely ships within the UK using the
Royal Mail's Special Delivery next day by 1pm service. The cost
is £25. No extra charge for Saturday deliveries. Other
locations will be quoted on an individual basis.
- Delivery
Arrangements:
Next working day INCLUDING Saturdays, bearing in mind local
Post Office opening hours and Royal Mail Special Delivery terms
and conditions.
